Planning and development BS5837 Surveys and reports:
Tree survey and reporting for developers and planners to the highest professional standards , conducted to BS5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction: Recommendations, with the added bonus of professional landscape design plans for amelioration/offset planting, providing a ‘one stop shop’ for developers.
For each report, I survey and categorise trees on a site and in its vicinity in accordance with the BS 5837:2012 criteria. If a topographical survey hasn’t already been provided, I will plot trees on a site layout. In addition to the survey, I provide:
Arboricultural method statement – assuring the LPA tree works will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of BS5837:2012, BS3998:2010 and industry best practice;
Tree Constraints Plan – showing root protection areas, shading and crown extents;
Tree Protection Plan – the mitigation methods prescribed for each build to ensure the protection of retained trees, from ground protection and fencing to foundation methodology;
Arboricultural Impact Assessment – describing the effect of the development on existing and proposed trees, and proposing mitigation measures to prevent damage;
Proposed new planting plans – Having both professional landscape design and arboricultural consulting capabilities, I’m able to provide planting amelioration and offset plans in anticipation of planning conditions, simplifying the application process for both planners and local authorities.
